The undertaking of this project took many joinery mockups, sketches, and even some trigonometry - but the result is clean and elegant, and can anchor a large living space beautifully.

Once the legs’ double (bridle/angled mortise & tenon) joint at the bottom was proven rock solid, it all came together. The lamp is completely adjustable as the hand-made knobs secure a steel shaft inside the main “stem”. The cantilevers are each fixed to springs to offset the lamp’s weight - just as a swing arm task lamp.
